Dr Metz

Haley saw Dr metz today and got a good report! He dilated her eyes and the nerves still look great (that can be a problem with hydrocephalus children) and she is still far sighted (all four year olds are). Her right eye is actually stronger than her left eye which is amazing because its the right eye that wanders if she is tired or under the weather! He says that eye may always wander at times like it does now but it shouldn't cause a problem with her vision and so unless it starts to drift more often we are waiting and watching for now! We are always very greatful for good reports! We will see him again in a year. Our next doctors appointment is next Tuesday with Dr Mick (endocrinologist) please be praying for this appointment. He should probably run some tests to see why she isn't growing at the proper rate. It could be due to the fluid from the hydrocephalus or it could be thyroid or a million other things! I will update soon.
