We finally have an appointment...but its not until January!!! At least we are on the book!

The rash from this morning came back with a vengeance at nap time! She had done so good all morning and felt fine and didn't have fever, I changed her sheets in case it was something to do with the pajamas like i mentioned earlier and i noticed on the monitor at naptime she was scratching and went in there and it was ALL OVER HER!! Wasp bite looking whelps with huge red places around them and all the red had serious heat in it! She was scratching like crazy so i got some benadryl down her and called the pediatrician. They wanted us to come in to be safe and took one look at her and said it was viral! We just hate to hear those words after everything in May!! Before i go any further let me say this is NOTHING like the symptoms, rash, etc, in May! She seems to feel fine, she has no fever and this rash appears out of nowhere and then goes completely away. They gave us two different meds that are histamine blockers to try to see if they help...i think we will eventually have to go see an allergy doctor to find out the root of all of these rashes but i did ask about my metal plate reaction theory and she said that could be it too! She said her body may not be accepting them so it is taking so much effort to fight the foreign body that it gets overloaded by anything else that comes along, virus, cold, sinus, allergy, etc. She says we will just watch her until Friday and if she is still breaking out off and on or any other symptoms appear we should go for bloodwork Friday morning to check out the liver function and sed. rate, etc. They are a little scared of Haley now so they don't want to overlook anything! She offered to send her for bloodwork today but we can't just "go there" everytime she has any kind of symptoms if she was acting tired or running fever we would be more concerned...I will keep you posted as our weekend plays out, hopefully the rash will be gone by morning and that will be that!
