Praying for Rain and Letter Hatred...

Haley has never liked for it to be bright outside. Even as a baby she would close her eyes and scream when you took her out in the sun...well, she doesn't scream anymore but still prefers cloudy days! Her school is brand new and doesn't have a gym yet so the choices for PE are go outside on the concrete in the sun or stay in in the makeshift gym which is two classrooms... SO...Haley prays for God to make it rain during her PE time every night before going to bed! You have never seen a little girl so excited when she woke up this morning and it was raining!

When I pick Haley up in the afternoons she is exhausted! She is stressed I think from getting used to all of the new stuff and needs a nap but its too late in the day for one so we just deal with the mood....but as all little girls seem to be she is very dramatic and cries very easily in the afternoons...well, the middle of last week we made it home without tears and got through snack and i was looking through her bag of work for the day and commented on how well she had drawn her letter M ....well, cue the water works!! Next thing I knew she was in a complete break down about how much she hates the letter M and why couldn't it be a H she loves H and can draw H and its so hard to draw a M she just didn't like it at all!! I got her calmed down and we started going over all of the wonderful things that start with M (monkey, mommy, matthew) well, when I got to matthew she informed me very quickly her monkey had a name, not monkey and that she could just call Uncle Matthew, Uncle!! I don't know what that left her calling me but cracked me up none the less!!
