2009 already!!

Sorry its been a while, the end of December always ends up being a blur...we saw all the family and the kids got tons of new toys and by the end of the week we will be settling back into school...here are a few of the highlights...the pictures uploaded in the opposite order that I wanted them to so I guess I can go backwards explaining them too! Haley lost her second tooth yesterday before church and she is just as excited as the first time...well, actually a little more because now she knows what to expect and the tooth fairy got to come to Ya-ya's so she was excited about that too!
Ty got his first hair cut...i know you are thinking does he even have enough hair to cut and the answer is Yes and no...Most of his hair still needs to grow and thicken up but he had just enough crazy curls coming out above his ears and the back of his neck that it looked like a mullet so he just really needed shaping up! He did great! He sat up in my lap and never even flinched! And of course expected a sucker when he was done like he saw Brock get after his haircut!
The next picture is Ty riding Brock's scooter...he has no idea he just turned one and REALLY believes he can do anything the big kids do! He insists on riding it so we give in and push him on it...maybe this is why he still doesn't walk?! Its like his own little segway!! He was very excited Christmas morning to see the 14in bicycle in the den! He automatically assumed it was for him and crawled right past all of his new toys to go attempt climbing up on it! He was apparently very convincing because Brock believed it to and walked right past it to his other things as if it were for Ty and not the exact Bicycle he asked Santa for!!!
The next picture is Santa reading to Haley and her Daisy scout friends at their Christmas party/Teddy bear Tea party! They had a blast and of course earned a patch for it! Speaking of Daisy scouts she starts selling girl scout cookies the end of this week so if anyone needs cookies you know what scout you should buy them from!! ;-)
The last picture is my favorite of Brock up on stage at his school Christmas performance! He would look over at our pew (he had enough family to take up a whole pew) and grin like that!! It would melt your heart for sure!!
Ty's big news for 14 months is he is now in a booster seat at the table instead if his highchair, he kept standing up in the highchair and then as soon as you let him down he would come climb up in a chair at the table! He loves being at the table with the big kids! After all highchairs aren't really supposed to hold a child his size anyway! I am sad that we are done with the highchair though, he didn't stay a baby very long!!! His not walking is the only factor right now that reminds you that he is the baby, he and Brock are in the same clothes (and have been for several months now) which is a 3 toddler and he stands at the stool in the mornings and has a turn brushing his hair and teeth, I really don't mind that he is taking his time about walking! He can do it and is taking 6 steps at a time now,so if he crawls another month that will be just fine with me!!
He gave me an official heart attack the a few Saturdays ago...he loves to go into rooms and shut the door and his favorite room to sneak into is the bathroom!! He made it into the bathroom and shut the door (which tipped me off he was in there, who knows how he opened the door in the first place) and then opened a drawer behind the door to empty it....well, needless to say I couldn't get in to get him with the drawer up against the back of the door so i start coaxing him, "Ty shut the drawer, as i could get the door cracked open just enough to see what the problem was, and he would shut the Door (seeing as how they sound the same and all!!) so i would praise him and say okay but now shut the drawer....door shuts again!! So i thought okay lets try it a different way (the whole time i can feel my blood pressure going up as i am realizing the whole situation!!) Ty, shut the drawer that has Haley's hairbows in it...he hands me a hairbow!! SO, i get my fingers in just enough to get under the drawer and try to shut it but of course its stuck!! So I call Lance (who was hunting and knew just by me calling him in the woods there was a probelm) he could tell by voice i was freaking out!! and I ask him what part of the door to kick to make it fall...he gets me to try to walk the drawer all the way out (the only other option is the sledgehammer and come on my one year old is in this room!) and thank goodness it fell when it got to the end so i could get in! While i am calling Lance and freaking out Ty is ever so calmly climbing up and down on the stool and taking items from the counter to the tub and dropping them in and he loves to play in toilet water more than any child I have ever seen so i am horrified that he is going to get into the toilet as I helplessly watch from the crack in the door!! ANYWAY when i open the door he looks up and grins from ear to ear and says "hey mommy" like why didn't you come in earlier!! Ugh!!
I will try to better about updating! I am much better at keeping up with Facebook so you might want to check there too! Have a great week!
