A few quick notes...

In case you haven't picked up on it by now, this blog is to share these tidbits with you guys but more so to help me remember this stuff when the kids are grown! Here are just a few from this week...

Last week Brock passed off the Pledge of Allegiance at school and got a paper saying he had done so...well, i forgot to mention it to Lance so at lunch I said, "Brock, tell your Daddy the Pledge of Allegiance"...He started out I Pledge allegiance then proceeds to saying the pledge to the Christian flag...which he has heard a total of three times!! I was shocked to say the least!! Well, when he got through I said, "Now tell your daddy the pledge to the American flag" and he responded, "Do you want to hear that one or the pledge to the Bible??" He recited both of them without hesitation which I have to say blew my mind!!

Yesterday I sent him a pb&j for lunch to school and when I picked him up I asked if he had eaten it...he kind of hesitated and said, "well, some of it" I didn't think too much of it until last night at snack time ...I asked if he wanted peanuts and he said, "Hey mommy, that reminds me, whose teeth were in my sandwich you sent to school?" After choking back tears of laughter I explained no ones teeth were in his sandwich it was merely crunchy peanut butter!! No wonder he didn't eat it!

Haley asked this morning why the art work was gone from the refrigerator...I explained that I had cleaned it off and that from now on we would put one piece of artwork per child on the fridge and display the rest in their rooms, she just kind of hmmed at me and walked out of the room. I took her to school and didn't think too much of it until I went to open the freezer to fix the boys breakfast and saw that she had hung two pictures and a random snapshot of a friend on the fridge sometime before she left!! Sneaky little thing!

Ty's new thing is to wave at everyone...when he gets up in the morning he walks to each of our chairs taps you and then waves and grins really big! Its too funny since he can say hello...he thinks the funniest thing in the world is for you to wave to him across the room or even across the table at a meal! He has figured out the pop gun at the house and loves to chase and shoot Brock and apparently he may end up being a little OCD because he loves to walk around the den picking up the random toys and books and stacking them all in the glider...his version of cleaning up I guess! If he would just not choose to take every single toy out of the toy box and climb in it daily it would help his cause!!
