So the first month of school has been a blur! Lance had the flu last week so the boys spent even more time with the grandparents! The boys loved it but we are glad to have everyone home again! Brock had a fever virus yesterday but seems to be fine this morning so It was just one of those things I guess!?

We got our directory picture back this weekend and I was so pleased with this one! Of course the background of this one is not blue so it can't be in the directory and our actual directory picture isn't this good (isn't that always the way?!).

Haley is loving first grade! She has spelling, vocabulary and reading comprehension tests this year and seems to take it all in stride! She is doing really well with her spelling, which is such a God thing because it could be a nightmare, but since she learned all the sounds so thoroughly before learning any of the letter names it seems logical in her mind to slow down the words and sound them out. She seems to love her teacher and her new classmates and has fallen right back into giving you the rundown in the afternoon of who got on yellow and what the teacher said to them about it! Its pretty funny hearing her rundown at the end of the day!

Brock is getting all settled into Mrs Angie's class. He is doing great with his writing and his favorite time of day is still playing superheroes on the playground! For him the education part of school is easy so its just a big social, who sat by who and who got to be what superhero thing! He is so funny!

Ty is still getting into everything but seems to have stopped biting everyone and has all of a sudden started talking in complete sentences! It catches you off guard because he and Brock sound very much alike so when you hear him scream, "stop Bock that's my cow, ...I hit you!!" I can't help but giggle a little as I run down the hall to stop the fight! He has learned that he can control the big kids with his weight...if you are just patient they will sit down with that toy, book, etc. eventually then you can go sit on them and take it away! Lance says he and Thad worked this way too, Thad was quicker but Lance weighed more! It keeps you on your toes! Ty is all into wiggles and yo gabba gabba these days and what is so funny is the big kids don't even complain when he tries to monopolize the tv with his shows!

Well, there is a fight in the tent in the den...better go save Brock!...
