We are so blessed!!
Sorry, the posts seem to be few and far between these days but its just that time of year! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving....everyone is healthy, happy and loving school....life is great!!
The first grade performed at the PTO meeting last week and it was sooo cute! They did several songs about the night before Christmas.
Brock's Christmas program is this week, I can't wait to see it!
I went on the field trip with Haley last week and it was sooo much fun! We went to several of the different ELF inspired stops that EarlyWorks sponsors so before the day was through she was officially and elf! It was soo cute! We got to meet the Grinch (hands down Haley's favorite part of the day!), Santa, Mrs Claus, the reindeer, we got on the polar express helped the grinch deliver the presents back to the Who's, Rode on a trolley, saw a 5000 piece Christmas Village....they were in full costume telling the stories and getting the kids to help with The Polar Express, The Grinch, The night before Christmas, Chica (the girl that trains the reindeer to fly), Little House on the Prairie Christmas...and that was just at our first stop at the Train depot!! Then we went to EarlyWorks which is officially Elf University this time of year so they learned how to wrap presents, deliver them quickly, snack like an elf, Sing loud and clear for all to hear, make their own elf ears, etc. Then we went to Colonial Village and did pictures in Santa's sleigh, saw two of his reindeer, met Mrs Claus, got to watch a blacksmith make nails...from scratch! They learned about Santa's flight pattern and made ornaments....It was a very packed day but lots and lots of fun!
Last night was the last meeting for our Brownie troop for this year, Haley has earned 8 try-it patches and they did Cookie training (we will be selling cookies starting this Friday!) and had their Christmas party. Another packed evening but lots of fun!
We have three elves at our house this year...all the kids are enjoying them but Brock most of all! He is our elf expert...he sees them "flying", hears them talking at night and can spot a hiding elf in two seconds flat!!
I think my favorite thing in the world has to be a tie between hearing my kids sing and hearing them pray...Ty has mastered praying in the last few weeks and it is absolutely the sweetest thing ever!! The other night though he figured it was a time to tell on Brock apparently because it went something like this "God bwess mommy and daddy, Hawey, bwock, Ty tank you for my toys and moseph (Brock renamed poor Joseph 2 years ago and apparently has passed down the new name) and God pease hep Bwock be nice! Amen"....It took all i had in me not to bust out laughing before i got out of the room! The next 10 days are going to be packed but we are sooo excited about Christmas!! You have to know their personalities to fully get the joke here...While brock is all boy and does aggravate the snot out of Ty at some point daily...Ty is the direct result of being the third child with two older siblings aggravating him...he bites like a pro and if he loses his temper with you which doesn't take a lot, you better watch out because he knows no boundaries!! Anything is worth the punishment to Ty so him praying for anyone else to be nice is just hilarious! Bless him all that said he is 0 or 100 percent either 100 percent the sweetest, kindest, smartest little boy or little evil...there is no halfway with Ty! Its funny how different their personalities can be!
