My little climber...
From the time Ty got mobile he was a climber! It got to be an everyday thing to hear him calling for help from the middle of the kitchen table or the top of the counter in the kitchen or bathroom. I never think twice about sending him to get a snack he is wanting out of the pantry because if its too high to reach he won't hesitate to scale the shelves or pull up a chair...nothing is out of reach for Ty.
This week he has been feeling extra helpful apparently so Tuesday morning when I got out of the shower he came around the corner grinning from ear to ear so excited to tell me, "Mommy I already got my bitamin you don't have to get me one now!" (insert heart attack) I quickly started questioning him on how he had gotten it (it is on the top shelf of the upper set of cabinets in the kitchen) and what did it look like....He looked at me like I had lost my mind and quickly said, "It looked like Fred Flintstone!"...ugh! I went into the kitchen and after he took it he apparently secured the CHILD SAFETY TOP (ha!) back on and left it on the counter.
Yesterday I was unloading the dishwasher and when I opened the door to put away the glasses much to my surprise he had moved his plastic cups over to where the glasses once were and moved the glasses up a shelf!... I looked over at him as he was sitting at the kitchen table eating a snack and he just grinned from ear to ear, "I helped you today while you were outside taking care of the kittens!" He was so proud! You can't get mad when they are trying to help and you could tell by his face he was sincere...what will he think of next?!
