Ty

Ty has started coming to the classroom during the day so after he finishes a few things I usually send him out to "find something I really need"  for example the other day I send him hunting for three worms...He came back in about twenty minutes grinning from ear to ear.  "Mommy did you only want three because I found a whole bunch!!"  I looked in his jar and indeed he did find a whole handful of termites!!

A few weeks ago we got us a Butterfly kit and sent off for the caterpillars.  They come in this little container with the food they need and you don't remove the top until they are in their Chrysalis, then you move them to the netting container.  So we have had it sitting on the china cabinet and the kids climb up on a chair to see them and we talked about NOT OPENING THE CONTAINER....  So, yesterday he came out to the room and opened the door to inform me that, "Mommy I only have three caterpillars now." (there were originally 5)  I was busy with Haley so it took a minute for it to sink in...."What do you mean there are only three?  Did you catch some caterpillars?"  "No, in your jar now there are three...One wanted to go swimming and one wanted to go play in the front yard with Cocoa!"  I was able to save the "swimming" caterpillar from the dog's water bowl but the one in the front yard was long gone!  

This morning I asked Ty for a kiss and from down the hall I heard him say, "When Ty comes back I will tell him but I am Captain Blue"  The above picture is how he dressed as Captain Blue!
