Nature hunt


For our latest adventure we went on a nature walk through the yard. I fixed each of the kids a bag with their name on it and as we walked I would tell them what we were looking for (red leaf, pinecone, yellow leaf, etc) and Haley was all into finding the newest item and quickly putting it into her bag...Brock is a little young for this activity yet so he collected just whatever as we went. When we got back up on the porch we emptied our bags and Haley spread out all of her leafs and acorns and rocks and was so anxious to see what Brock had in his. He had dirt, lots of pine cones and a big stick she thought that was hilarious. We made bird feeders with the pinecones and some peanut butter and their favorite part was shaking it around in the bag of bird seed! We are loving the weather cooling off enough to stay outside longer and play!
