'Sadda' and the grinch

Well we are getting in full gear around here for the big man!! We rode around tonight (again) to look at Christmas lights and had to find at least one Grinch for Haley and we all get tickled every time Brock declares "there's Sadda". He gets so excited to see a blow up one in a yard or lit up one in someone's window but still wants no part of getting near one!! He started 'ho, ho, ho" today evertime the big man was mentioned...too funny! His favorite song right now is Happy Birthday and he can sing it all the way through so, in between every few Christmas carols in the car, you have to do another rendition of Happy Birthday for Brock or he will try to sing over you while you do Frosty or Rudolph! Haley wanted to know tonight if Santa could bring her a rabbit too...needless to say we had to explain that santa doesn't bring bunnies. Last night we went to the candlelight Lord's Supper at our church and it was so wonderful! We kept Haley in there with us and that meant a lot to me. That is one of my fondest memories of growing up is the candlelight services at First Baptist in Alabaster on Christmas eve every year! I remember one year as we left the service there were snow flurries coming down!! In Alabama that's as close as you get to a white Christmas so it was really special! I took a moment this week to email the Santa Haley saw in Georgia and tell him how much it meant to me that he remembered her and that sweet man wrote me back, (its a very thankless job, so if you know one thank them this Christmas!) it meant a lot to me that he took the time to write back! This time of year you get so many emails and forwards about sweet stories but I wanted to let him know that even in her darkest hours this past year she was talking about him and that it made my Christmas to see the look on her face when he remembered her from the previous year!! Anyway, I guess that's it for now! I will let you know how the big day goes!! Merry Christmas!!
