Answers FINALLY!!!...

I finally heard from the endocrinologist today (the test results have been sitting on someone's desk since last Wednesday!) Haley does need growth hormones. The half day test they ran a few weeks ago checks the levels and they should be between 10 and 20, if they are 12 or below they will recommend growth hormones but 10 is the minimum number they like to see...Haley's highest number was 7.5 and there was only one of those and the rest of the results were less than 5!!! So she is definately not producing enough growth hormone and the Dr doesn't think we will have any problem getting Blue Cross to process the request, she wrote the prescription for their number one growth hormone drug so they won't question it and hopefully they will process her claim quickly and we can get started!! She says if they are successful, and we have every reason to be optimistic, we should start seeing results three to four months from starting them...if not, well, we are going to think positive until we have reason not to!... We are very pleased to have answers and hopefully this will help with some other areas too (muscle tone, immune system, etc.)... Please pray that this will be a speedy process with insurance so we can get started!!
