October was a fun,busy,blur!!
We started out the month with a trip to the Pumpkin Patch in Hayden.  This is a family tradition, Mom and I have been going there almost every year since the big boys were little. Haley was out on a Friday so it worked out that all the Uncles and Ya-Ya were able to go too!  The kids were so excited and it was WONDERFUL having so many hands to help!  We had so much fun!

Ty getting his face painted...Lance's hand holding him still and can you tell by the look on his face it was a better idea when the big kids were doing it?!  He thinks he has to do everything the other kids do...including face painting and tattoos...but he would really prefer neither of the above be on him...SO...that means as we walk away he is scratching and clawing at his skin trying to remove the latest piece of artwork he has been peer pressured into!...
The teddy bear parade at Brock's school...he informed me the morning of that I should come because "all of the other mom's are planning on coming and it will be just awful if you are not there!"....Ty and I were the only ones in attendance but he gets two points for trying to guilt mom! ;-)
The kids at the state fair.  We had so much fun!  Granna went with us, the kids won these at the very first game they played and believe me those horns are much louder than they may look!  They are official playroom toys now!  Thank goodness the new has worn off!

Haley sang with Praise team a few weeks ago in church.  We were so proud of her!  She kept trying to add the hand motions towards the end but hey what 7 year old can stand still that long?!
Haley and Granna at the fair...(for whatever reason these are uploading in a crazy order...) Haley had fallen at school the week before and so her nose and mouth were still swollen.
Brock was the only taker on getting his hair dyed...he went for blue!  It was so cute!

Haley and Daddy doing the cake walk...we didn't win  and it was kind of confusing for the kids...you know the whole, you have to walk on the numbers until the music stops and then they call out a number and only one of the twenty of us gets to leave with something...hardly seems fair to small children!

These are the faces of children anxiously awaiting pumpkin carving!  I had gotten the stick on facial features that I thought would be much less gross and they were not nearly as impressed with them as I was...so they decorated the pumpkins with them then promptly removed the pieces and wanted to do it "the real way"...

So all three of them were more than willing to help clean out the pumpkins!...I was so surprised!  Of course just a few minutes later the big kids were convinced that that was cheese inside the pumpkin...needless to say they were so disappointed when they licked it and it was not!...
Here was the end results with the pumpkins....they were very opinionated this year on what the faces should look like so they were so excited when they were complete!
Brock's class had a pumpkin hunt outside in the courtyard...it was such a great idea and they got so excited to find pumpkins in the bushes!  He has the most wonderful teacher, she does so many fun things with them!  He loves school!  You might notice that poor Ty who is in complete denial that he is not Brock's age insisted on lineing up with the class for their picture.
Mrs Angie had brought a pumpkin for him to find too so he thought he was one of the class.

How wonderful to have a grandmother that is a volunteer clown!  Mom is one of the clowns that visits up at Children's and the kids get to see the magic tricks and stuff but this was the first time they got to see her in full costume.  The big kids were so excited and Brock thought her being dressed up was like the best thing ever!  Now Ty on the other hand was a little scared at first and never did fully warm up to the idea of Ya-Ya being dressed up.  Brock told me when we got home that he really hopes she is dressed up every time he goes to her house!

And last but not least this was our trick or treat posse!  Uncle Brad informed the kids that he was the papparazzi and true to character he would jump out of the bushes with the camcorder to record them trick or treating...or just walking down the street!  Maggie took Alli (Uncle Matthew's dog) with us and she did so good keeping up with all the excitement!  The kids were so excited to have so many people with us and we really appreciate all the help!  Haley of course remembers trick or treating in the past so she got up at ten after five that morning in anticipation of the day...Brock remembered it but still gets all excited after the first house like it may not work the same way this year...and Ty had to be woken from a late nap to go and didn't even want to put on a costume so you will notice he is spiderman not a dinosaur because it wasn't worth the fight and after the first house he was in love with the whole idea!  He kept pointing to the next house, "mommy dat house now, dat house too, K??"  Of course what is always fun is explaining why you tell them all year not to talk to strangers and then go from door to door taking candy from "strangers"....oh well, its part of growing up!!  It has to be done!  I hope your October was as wonderful as ours!  I have got to get Ty's birthday party on here too but that is gonna have to wait for now!  Thanks for checking on us!
