Superheroes
Ty and Brock play superheroes several times a week...for those of you who don't know what that is...that means you pull out all of the old halloween costumes and parade through the house fighting crime and saving people and about once every 15 or 20 minutes you change costumes. So, deciding what to be for Halloween was a big decision because you always need more superheroes to add to the collection! Well, Brock decided he was going to be Optimus Prime from Transformers and as always with Brock once he makes up his mind about something that is pretty much it. We got him the costume and he is happy as can be! Ty on the other hand is completely opposite of that! We have been everywhere in town that sells costumes looking for him one and he would get excited about them but once you put it on he would look at himself in the mirror and say, "I not wearing dis!" and proceed to pull at it trying to get it off! So last week we went to get Hermione (the girl in Harry Potter) for Haley and I tried to talk him in to commiting to a costume in the Halloween store but as I was bending down next to him he quietly mumbled something i couldn't understand and after asking him again he said, "mommy tand up, you barrassing me!" Okay, so I am embarrassing him already at not even two years old! To add to my frustration his birthday is the 15th of this month and he is having a dress up party so he can't be the only child at his own birthday party without a costume on! Finally yesterday we were in Children's Place and the dinosaur costume that he had tried on a month ago was on sale so (and it had been my favorite) he held it while we were shopping and when we got to the register I said, "okay Ty, are you going to be a dinosaur?" "No, not a dinosaur" he replied and out of no where a random child about Ty's size walks up to the stroller and sees Ty holding the costume, takes the head to it out of my hands and proceeds to beg his mother "Please dinosaur, please dinosaur!" and that's all it took! Ty had to have it then! Thank goodness the other mother informed her son that he already had a costume and gave me the head back! So, now he has been practicing his ROAR and loves it!! Yah!! I love the picture of him looking in the mirror at his claws!
