I LOVE SUMMER!!!
I love how comfortable all of my kids are in the pool. They all smile from the moment we start getting ready! They even smile from underwater! That I still don't have a picture of....but I am working on it!
Haley is NEVER tired of swimming. She doesn't swim laps or dive to the bottom she is just so happy and laughing and giggly and just LOVES the pool. Any pool with anybody. She loves to swim with friends or just her brothers. She loves underwater games and about half way through the summer she loves jumping in from the side not the diving board. I wish we could swim year round because it makes her so happy!
Ty's personality really comes out at the pool He loves jumping in, he loves swimming underwater (we are working on him coming up for air before getting to the sides) His eyes are wide open and he is smiling from ear to ear. He never holds his nose and he is absolutely FEARLESS. This picture was taken from family day at Lance's company. Ty jumped off this diving board into the olympic size pool like it was no big deal. He didn't even hesitate.
I get very aggravated about this aspect of his personality a lot of other times but it is wonderful for at the pool! He will try anything. We made him wear his life jacket since the pool was so big and once he got up to it and saw for himself he didn't argue.
This is Brock doing the "superhero" jump! I must admit he does look like he is flying! When I showed him this picture he said, "I didn't know that little girl was watching me or I would have done my dive." Very matter of fact.
And here is the dive. He is so impressive to me because he is cautious enough to not be dangerous with tricks and you are not going to talk him into anything until he is ready to try it but once he tries it he can do most of them after only a few minutes. Brock is so athletic no matter the sport it seems. I hope that is always the case for him.
Brock, Ty and the little boy there behind the board Wilson were the only kids under 16 or 17 using the diving board.
Brock' "Jack knife"
This awesome thing was one of two floating things in the pool to climb on. It was so cool!
Haley is starting to ham up pictures. This was one of the three poses she struck for this picture with her Daddy!
This end of the floating thing had a long stretch to try to walk down. This entertained the boys for quite a while.
This was the other thing. It could be turned around once the kids climbed on. They loved that.
Here goes Lance spinning it...
I think we have finally found a way to do Haley's hair for the pool. French braids down each side seemed to keep it out of her face better than any other way we have tried.
Here goes Ty down the long stretch, he made it to the end and jumped off. I don't think it even crossed his mind that he could fall before the end.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends that share their pools with us. This is Brock going off the dive at Mrs Glenda's. She is so sweet and has an AWESOME pool! It has a diving board and a slide which my boys just love!!
Misty and her boys went swimming with us this week and they are AMAZING in the pool! She teaches swimming lessons and her boys can do all kind of tricks!! This is the back dive!!
I get them her twins mixed up until I see their faces so I don't know if the first one is Brady and the next is Clay but they can both back dive. They can also do front and back flips off the board!!
This is Ty trying the back dive. ;-)
We are having the most wonderful summer so far! I can't wait to see what the rest has in store for us.
