We are still playing ball!...

Brock's team is doing really good and I am so proud of them!  They have really come together and are proving to be a good little team.  They do have their moments when you are reminded very quickly that they are five...like when they dramatically lay in the field and cry when missing a ball or stop on the way to a base because they see that are beat there by the ball.  BUT they also have a lot more times when you forget how young they are when they have a double play or catch a fly ball effortlessly or throw a frozen rope from outfield to second base!  Brock can't seem to get enough of it, he hasn't complained at all about so many practices and games and still wants to get outside and throw and hit every spare minute we are actually at home.  We are in state tournaments now and tonight's games got cancelled due to rain but right now they are third in the state and playing for second tomorrow night!

Here he is in the field...

Apparently this is what you do while waiting on your turn to bat!

This is the smile of a the little boy that just smacked the ball so far in the outfield that if we had been on our own field it would have been out!  We knew he had it in him but he finally got to see it all come together tonight!  One proud momma right here!!

Gotta get a few silly shots in there too.

Ty's turn for a close up!  Can you still see his horns glowing in this one?!  I tried to cover them up! ;-)

This is what you do when your big brother is playing ball....you find creepy crawlies (this was the WHITE caterpillar he found?!)

The best big sister in the whole world!  She is so patient at the ballpark and other than asking what inning it is occasionally she never complains!

Ty's next find of the day....a big yellow leaf!!
He is so proud each time he finds something new and I get tickled at what is important enough to him to want to keep.  After this leaf he found a bamboo stick that all the players tried to trade him stuff for when they got done (because apparently like Ty they have no toys at home and only get to play with leafs and sticks too!?)....he would let them look at it and touch it but they could not hold it because he was the "stick holder"...the mind of a three year old!
