The little pillow
The boys got new beds in their room last weekend and they are really enjoying them. Brock had the firetruck and Ty had a twin bed..... but now they have bunk beds with their own set of drawers and shelves so hopefully we can get more organized around here! When the new furniture got here the other day I was in a hurry to empty the old chest of drawers and nightstand so I just put all of the items in laundry baskets. Ty was helping me load the new furniture and found a tiny tooth fairy pillow that someone gave me when I was pregnant with Brock. I saw him looking at it but didn't think that much of it. That night at bedtime he wanted his "little pillow"so I handed it to him and he went to bed....well several times this week he has mentioned "the little pillow" but I will just be honest life is pretty crazy around here most of the time so I wasn't paying that much attention. Yesterday at naptime he told me he needed "the little pillow" because he puts it under his pillow when he sleeps.... That got me thinking. Last night at bedtime when he asked for it I wanted to know why he puts it under his pillow and this was what I got....
Ty: I need to put it under my pillow in case the Tooth Fairy comes by
Me: What do you mean in case the tooth fairy comes by? Do you have a loose tooth?
Ty: No, but she might just come by
Me: I don't think she just comes by to visit she only comes when you leave a tooth
Ty: No see I think she comes by if you have "the little pillow" under your pillow to check it and see if there's a tooth and see I didn't loose one but maybe she will leave me another little pillow!
Me: ?????? Ty why do you need another little pillow if you haven't lost a tooth?
Ty: I don't know. Don't you think it would be cool if I woke up and there was a bunch of little pillows in here?
I was telling Lance about it when he got home and I have to tell you if I was very good at sewing I would make a dozen and put all over his bed in the morning just to see the look on his face!! That child definately thinks out of the box!
