 Ty started school!?

After Christmas Ty started school at Chapel Hill.  He is LOVING it!!  He is in Miss Debbie's class and he seems to fit right in with them and their routine.  He loves taking his lunch everyday, I pack the sandwich and he runs around the kitchen making very difficult decisions about what else he is going to add...we had talked about him starting last fall and decided to wait one more year but bless his heart, he was getting so bored while Haley and I did school so this has been a blessing for all three of us.  A few days before Christmas, Lance and I were working in the yard and I noticed something didn't look right about the front of his hair?!?!  Once the whole story came out he had crawled up under Lance's truck with the scissors from our classroom (the ones that won't cut hair!!!  It actually says that on the package!?) and cut his hair in a perfect "U" from right above one eyebrow to right above the other one and going almost all the way back to the crown of his head!?  He was helping me....I had said that morning that I needed to cut the boys hair that evening and he says it was in his eyes so he was getting it out of his eyes?!  Once he was done it was almost barely visible in that "U" so definitely not in his eyes...We went into to damage control mode and he sported the "Tim Tebow" for a month...all that to explain why his hair is standing on end in this picture.  It really ended up cute and kind of fit his personality better than the normal little boy cut he has had up until now.  This week he decided he was tired of it though and we have gone back to the norm.  He said he didn't want anyone asking him about it anymore...then followed that up with, "mom, can I wear it in a mohawk to school tomorrow?"  I made sure he knew what a mohawk was and then agreed once we were on the same page.  He proudly walked into school with a mohawk the next day and he has been wearing it normal every since.  Man, I love that little boy!  He keeps life exciting around here!
